The Hine School Redevelopment Project is one of the most anticipated projects on Capitol Hill. While not all neighbors were in support of the scale and design, the project is sure to bring a new level of energy to the already bustling Eastern Market and Barracks Row corridors.

The Stanton Development Corp and EastBanc Inc. team were selected in 2009 by the city to bring the project to life. A number of community concerns about the scale of the proposed buildings, as well as requests for inclusion of neighborhood amenities, delayed the projects start. But it is not very much underway and aiming for a mid-2017 delivery date.

August is often quiet in DC but we are still working hard for our clients! Our newest listing just hit the market yesterday and is a beauty.

In an engineering and architecture feat, developers are bringing 2.2 million-square-feet of mixed-use development to seven acres of land that includes the open space above the 395 Tunnel in Northeast.

The project, Capitol Crossing, is privately funded at $1.3 billion and is expected to generate approximately $40 million for the District once completed by 2022.

The project was supposed to include 150 residences, but, as reported by Washingtonian, who interviewed Robert Braunohler, of Capitol Crossing’s developer Property Group Partners, “The development’s residential component is also in flux.
